About Langham Village School
We strive to achieve a happy atmosphere with good, trusting relationships between adults and children alike. We fully embrace the ‘Every Child Matters’ agenda and always strive to provide a caring and safe environment.
The present building is just over 100 years old but, with its lowered ceiling and large windows, a soft climate is created – unusual for a Victorian school. We have 81 children, (January 2008) with 12 pupils in Year Two and 6 Pupils in Year Six. Numbers have increased significantly since 1991 when the present Headteacher took up his position.
We have experienced three OFSTED inspections all of which have judged us as being a 'good school' - the most recent of these being at the beginning of November 2006. You can download the report as a pdf file from the OFSTED Report page.
A child’s time at school is critical to his or her development as a person. We at Langham like to think that we offer a very good, all-round experience for everyone.
The emphasis is very much on ‘EXCELLENCE and ENJOYMENT’.
