Here at Langham Village School we believe that the most effective school is one where individuality and difference is celebrated and everyone is valued. We strive to achieve a happy atmosphere and to provide a safe and caring environment where children can grow in confidence and be inspired to develop a lifelong love of learning.
Our school mission statement is:
Langham village school: a place for fun, creativity, friendship, ambition and discovery.
We currently have 4 classes and 86 children on roll, this enables children to be taught in small groups with a high adult to child ratio. We have a team of experienced, creative and dedicated staff to encourage and support all our children.
The school has achieved the Sainsbury’s School Sports Gold Award and regularly wins Cluster and North Norfolk sports events. Outdoor learning is a strong feature of the curriculum with every child accessing regular Forest School sessions on site and many opportunities to visit and learn about the unique environment of the North Norfolk Coast.
We are a listening school and Circle meetings take place each week and involve all children in the school. These meetings provide an opportunity for everyone to share in decision making and to have their voice heard. Minutes of the meetings are taken by our oldest children.
The school supports its pupils to realise their full potential, regardless of their starting points. Langham has high expectations of its pupils and many children at the school do well compared to national and local standards.
Our most recent Ofsted inspection was Outstanding (November 2011) and we continue to work hard to uphold these high standards.
