Extended School Activities

While there is a concentration on teaching and learning at Langham Village School, we believe that this should not be confined to the prescribed academic curriculum. Therefore we have organised a broad range of extra-curricular activities designed to stretch pupils in ways not always possible in day-to-day classroom practice. Organisers are drawn from a mix of professionals and volunteers among parents and the local community. Suggestions for further activities are always welcome and the current list includes:

We run many inter-house tournaments including: netball, football, hockey, chess and table tennis. During the summer months we organise a whole school knockout tennis tournament, which produces some outstanding talents. We hold a sports day when the children are invited to join in both traditional and fun races. We value the input of specialist sports coaches covering a wide variety of activities throughout the year.
